| Big Ego’s Demand Big Bucks
Well let’s see, $40 to $50 million sounds about right. I guess that is how much it takes to feed the megalomaniacal, despot that is out president. How absurd can you get? Only a practicing alcoholic or drug addict would demand this sort of aggrandizement, either that or someone with mental disabilities or brain damage. $40 million sounds like Halliburton got another no bid contract to throw a party.
We have soldiers dying every day because of lack of proper equipment or not enough ammo and this sick person needs a party. How sick is that? How about an enema instead? We have a small P.X. here in Vancouver and I recently had a chance to talk to two senior NCO's. They are with the Oregon National Guard and had just come home from Iraq. It only took me about two seconds to recognize that 1,000 yard stare. I've seen it before. “You can't imagine how terrible it is over there one said. They tried to send us out on patrol with less than a full clip of ammo. One day I got a whole box of ammo for myself, I thought it was Christmas and later the Supply St. came and counted out fifteen rounds and took the box back.” I replied, you're right, I can't imagine what it was like for you. In my war we at least had enough bullets for crying out loud. They told me they had men die because they couldn't shoot back. They told me that they had men die because of lack of body armor.
I'm not good at math, but wouldn't $40 million buy body armor for all of our troops over there and still have enough left over to buy bullets from Taiwan. Say, Taiwan isn't that on the Pacific Rim and doesn't Bush Sr. chair that division of the Carlisle Group? Now there is some honor and integrity for you. You know, I guess I should be grateful; this ongoing chicanery of this administration has given me another 40 million reasons to despise them.
I keep reading about Black Thursday, January 20th. We are not to spend one thin dime. I think it’s a good idea. Let’s see what kind of reaction we can cause. If everyone who detests what our government has become as much as I do we can create quite a stir. No spending on anything except emergency medical supplies. Let’s send a message to the Neo Cons. I would like to read your comments. Feel free to e-mail me. And don't forget to buy blue!!
